MAINTENANCE MECHANIC I - 3rd shift
MECANICO DE MANTENIMIENTO

Department: Maintenance/Mantenimiento
Reports to: Shift Supervisor

SUMMARY

Performs routine troubleshooting ,modification and preventive maintenance tasks on buildings facilities, equipment, fixtures and systems, minimizing production downtime due to mechanical reasons through quick response.
Utilizes a wide variety of hand, portable and machine tools to perform assignments.
Run services to new or relocated equipment (air, water, electrical).  Perform non-certified welding and simple machining operations incidental to repair and maintenance tasks.

RESUMEN

Realiza tareas rutinarias en la reparación,  modificación y mantenimiento preventivo de instalaciones, equipo, accesorios y sistemas, minimizando tiempo muerto de producción por razones mecánicas a través de una respuesta rápida a los problemas.  Para cumplir con sus tareas, utiliza una amplia variedad de herramientas de mano, portátiles y de máquina. Proporciona servicio a equipo nuevo o cambiado de lugar (aire, agua, electricidad). Incidentalmente realiza soldadura no certificada  y usa en operaciones simples el torno eléctrico..

QUALIFICATIONS
•      Requires a well rounded and experienced knowledge of the practices, tools, equipment and materials used in assigned skill area.
•       High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
•      Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
•      Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
•       Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. 
•      Must be available to work Graveyard shift
