Celiac
Disease Letters:
Sent: June 2nd, 2005 - From: Sarah Johnson
Dear Amy,
My family first started purchasing your products when my Dad was diagnosed
with Celiac Disease. Eventually out of curiosity, the rest of the family
began to eat Amy's products . I am now addicted to the Enchiladas-I
eat it EVERY DAY! Thanks so much for good tasting gluten free products!

Dear Amy,
I just wanted to thank you for making delicious, healthy, organic
gluten free foods. I was just diagnosed with celiac disease. I was
so upset at the thought of cooking every night and eating boring foods.
My sister discovered your cheese enchiladas and I was hooked and thrilled.
They taste better than my former favorite mexican resturant. Once or
twice a week. I treat myself to chips with your salsa and a hot plate
of enchiladas. Thank you!!!

Dear Amy,
Praise God for your company and the wonderful products you make.
My husband has recently been diagnosed with Celiac Sprue, and it was
such a blessing to come across Amy's products. Thank you so very much
for labeling each of your products clearly! My only wish is that our
local grocery stores carried more of your product.
Keep up the great work, and keep coming out with more gluten free
products!!

Dear Amy,
My 4-year old daughter was diagnosed with Celiac disease last fall
and we are so, very, truly, genuinely thankful to you for offering
gluten free foods. We recently discovered your foods and screamed with
joy in the store when we found your pizzas and macaroni and cheese
and other foods!! I also cried happy tears because, as a mother, I've
tried so hard to create foods that my little girl will enjoy and you
have rescued me! We literally purchased everything that was available
at the time and stocked our freezer. My daughter is so happy to have
pizza that looks and tastes so delicious and looks like the pizza her
brother and friends eat. Thank you so much for creating these delicious
foods. We are eternally grateful. We feel like we have so much more
understanding and support as we venture through life dealing with this
disease.
THANK YOU! Bless you!!!

I want to thank you for the gluten-free products you've created. I
was diagnosed Celiac last year and before that one of my favorite meals
what your cheese-less pizza that my husband and I would pile things
on top and cook it. Since I was diagnosed, I missed pizza the most.
Yesterday I found your Rice Pizza at Whole Foods and I about danced
in the aisle. I brought it home and had my first gluten-free pizza.
I am so grateful that you have opened up your gluten-free line. I hope
it very successful for you.
Blessings,

Dear
friend at Amy's,
Some college students have ice cream in their freezer. My NYU daughter
stocks hers with Amy's!
We love your products. My youngest is a celiac, so your foods have
been a lifesaver. They also taste great to the rest of us, who are
not gluten-intolerant! Please keep up the good work.
I hope the sun comes out in Petaluma today. We used to stop at the
Biobottoms store on our way to the Sea Ranch every year when the kids
were little.
Best,

P.S. You did see your butternut squash soup featured in the latest
issue of "Nutrition Action," the newsletter for the Center
for Science in the Public Interest. Congratulations!

I just had to send you a note to thank you for your wonderful Tomato
Bisque Soup, which I have every day for lunch. I now have my husband
hooked on it also. When I shopped at my local Tom Thumb grocery store
and they had it on sale this past weekend, I bought every single can!
What can I say....we love this soup!
What's even better is that on the can it says "gluten free," which
is so very important to me since I have celiac disease.
Keep up the great work and thanks for labeling your products gluten
free if they are. That is very much appreciated.

Letters:

Thank you!
Hi Amy: I have been a diabetic with an eating disorder for
over ten years. Recently I decided to get my act together and
exercise and get my eating under control, while learning how
to inject insulin and to take the correct doses with food. My
therapist and I decided, that while I am good cook, I am also
a BIG eater - I have no portion control. What we agreed was
that I would buy every Amy's product imaginable (never tried
them but knew they were not made with junk) and use them for
my meals and adding a salad.
It has been great! Not only do I love your products, but having
all the nutritional information makes it so much easier to
control my diabetes. I eat just what is there and feel
satisfied. And I feel satisfied because your food tastes yummy,
like I am cheating...
So thank you for helping me, finally , at 45, begin to live
a healthier life.

Subject: Praises!
We wanted to email mail you and express our praises for your
meals. We have recently discovered your meals during my pregnancy.
I have gestational diabetes, and am vegetarian. I am allotted
small amounts of carbohydrates at any one meal, and your meals
have been a life saver; as well as, they are delicious.
Most of your meals fall within the guidelines I am allowed
to have. I was trying to make their diet work with little fruit
and whole grains (cereal, past etc.) I felt hungry all the
time, and they wanted me to start eating some meat in order
to get enough calories and protein.
We are not a processed food type family. We eat as much organic
as we can find and afford. Your meals have greatly increased
my options on this "special diet". My husband made one of your
enchilada meals for him and our 2.5 year old. They loved them!
They do not taste like "frozen prepared meals".
As a matter of fact, we just went shopping and my husband
put several of your meals in the cart for himself. He found
your pizzas, and had to try one. Our favorites so far are the
enchilada meals, teriyaki bowl, and theSanta Feenchilada bowl.
Thank you for providing healthy, tasty, enjoyable food.
Margaret Jewell
PS we will need to stock up as we are expecting a new baby
in 5 weeks. I know I won't want to cook!

Special Diets Letters:
Dear Amy's Kitchen family,
I want to thank you all for your delicious meals and your
dedication to sharing those meals with others. My sister (a
vegetarian) introduced me to your Enchiladas a year ago and
from that day forward I swore never to buy a frozen food product
from another company. As a retail employee it is necessary
I eat on-the-job (during breaks) at least five times a week,
something that can become very costly, not to mention unhealthy
given the inherent nature of mall food. Amy's frozen dinners
and soups have not only promoted healthier eating habits, but
also have cut my food expenses by more than half.
Both of my parents are borderline Type 2 diabetics and have
high blood pressure, and I know now is the time to take control
of my weight and health. Amy's is helping me to be more aware
of important aspects of my diet, like portion sizes and nutrition.
I cannot write to you without one more thank you for encouraging
me to try dishes I either never would have thought to try,
or in the past disliked. I just adore your Palak Paneer and
Mattar Paneer dishes! A year ago I never imagined I would rank
spinach and garbanzo beans among my favorite foods, but there
they are. I used to turn my nose up at soup, but your Lentil
and Alphabet varieties are amazing (and fun!). I'm so excited
to know there are new dishes, soups, and other foods being
created all the time--I can't wait to try them all!
All the best in your future endeavors,
Leah, FL

Dear Amy,
Hi, I just wanted to say thanks for making many corn free products.
I am very allergic to corn and find it almost impossible
to find corn free food. My favorite is your spinach pizza.
I also love your macaroni and cheese, broccoli potpie, brown
rice and veggie bowl and spicy chili. Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Bobbi

Dear Amy,
I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful job you have done
on the pizza. I have acid reflux and have to watch what I
eat. And the pizza is the best! It gave me no problem with
the tomato sauce which is always the case. I hope you keep
do a great job and hope you keep up the good food coming!

Dear Amy,
I want to send you all a huge heart felt Thank you!
My husband and I are a working couple in our 40's. My husband
has an allergy to corn (and all products that come from corn).
I have IBS and many food sensitivities.
It is a daily struggle to prepare all our meals from scratch.
Standard convenience foods are just not possible and eating
out is difficult at best.
Then our grocery store just opened a large natural food section
and I found Amy's Cheese Lasagna! Made with REAL ingredients,
just like I would make it! That was our first taste of Amy's.
Two days ago I brought home an Amy's cheese pizza. My husband
was sooo excited. A pizza he could eat, not dusted with corn
or with corn syrup in the sauce and made with whole wheat flour.
Hey and we can add our own favorite topping of sliced tomatoes.
All I have to do is add a big salad to one of your entres and
dinner is set.
Thank you for giving me a break on my more hectic work days.
We are looking forward to sampling more of your products.
Suzanne (call me Zanne)
P.S. Please continue to refrain from using corn or corn products
when it makes sense.

Dear Amy,
i've been a vegetarian for 33 years now (since i was 15) and
i've always been disappointed in the prepared vegetarian foods
out there. when i decided to go vegetarian (i'm ovo-lacto-cheeto,
by the way) i gave up eating *flesh*, but i didn't want to
give up *flavor*. with your dishes, i can get a variety of
delicious, easy-to-prepare lunch and dinner meals that put
an end to the idea that vegetarian food is boring. thanks for
taking the sacrifice out of vegetarianism!

Dear Amy,
I have been a vegetarian for over 12 years now and only discovered
Amy's about a year ago... I am glad I did because I practically
live on it now and have been eating healthier than ever! I
enjoy almost every single product that you make. Eating on
the go has never been easier, too! Thanks for making such a
great line of food! Keep up the good work! Thanks a lot!

Dear Amy,
Thanks so much for having vegan choices. Your dishes are absolutely
great! I appreciate your clearly marked packages as it makes

Hi Amy's Kitchen Crew,
I've been a vegetarian for over ten years (back when you couldn't
get a vegetarian meal in these parts, unless you made it yourself!)
I came across the Amy's Kitchen products a number of years
ago, because I picked up one of your pizzas! I recently started
taking your bowls to work everyday for lunch, and now my fridge.
is always full with at least a dozen of your products.
Thanks for being there for people like me. You have a great
product. It tastes fantastic (I can't believe I finally found
a prepared vegan meal that is edible
:-)!!) and I know it's good for me- I'm a stickler for reading
all the ingredients and info on a product cover.
My favorites are the Country Cheddar Bowl and The Black-Eyed
Peas and Brown Rice Bowl.
Thanks again!
Sincerely,
Marsha

I wanted to thank you for making gluten free frozen
meals and soups (and making note of it on the label)!!
I was diagnosed as gluten sensitive this past September.
Even as a dietetics major with access to all of
the information on gluten sensitivity I found the
transtition slightly difficult since I was living
mostly on frozen meals and quick foods. I was elated when I
went to our grocery store and saw "Gluten Free" on
a package of frozen enchiladas.
I LOVE the cheese pizza with rice crust!
Thanks!!!

Thanks
so much to whom ever is responsible for those delicious soups.
I am having a total knee replacement in a couple of days and
my doctor told me that my blood pressure had to come down
and that I had to eat more foods with iron and less sodium
in them.
Low and behold, I received my "Nutrition Action" newsletter
and in big bold print it tells all about Amy's soups and how
they are low in sodium and all the things I need and they have
flavor. It was like someone was answering my prayers.
I just had to find a place that sold them ("Stop & Shop" in
my area) and best of all they were on sale. I shared a can
with husband for lunch and I can't believe the unbelievable
great taste. I tried the lentil soup and have a couple other
kinds, but you have me sold on them. My blood pressure
has come down and my iron count has come up.
Once again, thanks for making it possible to eat a low sodium
food that tastes great! I will also be checking into
the other foods that you offer.
