Dessert doesn't have to be off-limits. A recent study shows that you absorb as much calcium from a serving of fortified ice cream as you get from a glass of milk. "You can satisfy craving and get some nutrition at the same time." says FITNESS advisory board member Lisa Young, Ph.D., R.D., author of The Portion Teller. Here, a few more tasty picks.

Your apple pie is the perfect treat. Sometimes I like to offer a special treat to my young boys (and when I want a tasty treat myself). I will reach for one of your apple pies on just such an occasion. You should see us digging in with our spoons at the same time (not a pretty sight, I assure you). I’m sure it would be great with a scoop of ice cream as well. Hmmmm, might have to try that next time.
